Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences
Uniformed Services University is located in Bethesda, MD. This is a school which caters to military doctors. The curriculum is unique in that it focuses on battle-issues, tropical diseases, disaster medicine, and public health.
As an added benefit: The tuition and fees for enrollment in the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine is covered by each student’s parent service. Students also receive the full salary and benefits of a second lieutenant or ensign throughout all four years of school.
In exchange for a tuition-free education, students commit to serving at least seven years in the uniformed service after graduation, internship and residency are complete.
The program at USU operates year round, and ends up being 700 hours longer than traditional medicine programs. This is due to the emphasis on military medicine and public health.

Completed at least on academic year of general or inorganic chemistry including laboratory; one academic year of general or inorganic chemistry including laboratory; one academic year of organic chemistry including laboratory; one semester of calculus (precalculus or computer science courses are not accepted); one academic year of general physics including laboratory (courses in anatomy are not acceptable); one academic year of biology including laboratory (botany courses are not acceptable); one academic year of college English (introductory courses in composition or literature are acceptable).
